The new trend is natural deodorants. What if I told you I’ve found a line that truly represents all natural, all moisturizing products. I thought I’d share my review on a few products from Oars and Alps and hopefully influence you to try it too. They are super inexpensive and you can find it at your local Target- who doesn’t like to go there!?
Few facts before I start:
- This is originally an all men product line but they are branching out for a non gender concept!
- To go off of the first point, this brand was founded by two WOMEN who have outdoorsy husbands! Yas, girl power.
- This brand uses ALL natural ingredients and is TSA approved.
- It’s Chicago based!! Love to support fellow Chicagoans 🙂
I feel like knowing facts and getting a better idea of the company really helps before reading the reviews. It’s helps to really visualize the company as a whole and give somewhat of an authentic, trustworthy appeal to it. Who’s with me?
I picked up a few products: California Coast Deodorant, Wake Up Eye-stick, Cooling + Cleansing Wipes, Peppermint Charcoal Soap.
California Coast Deodorant: $14
So this is my first time really sticking to a natural deodorant and let me tell you, the first two weeks are not the best. The first week your body is adjusting to the use of natural ingredients so you don’t have an odor. But, the second week- HELL. In a good way. Your body is detoxing all of the toxins and bacteria that are built up under your arms. You’re constantly sweating, smelling not that great- but that’s when you know it’s working! I love it now. I feel like I’m doing my body justice by using a natural deodorant like this one.
Wake Up Eye-stick: $21
This caffeine infused eye stick was probably one of my favorites. It helps to de-puff and moisturize under the eye. I loved the concept and was so excited to try this out. I use it every morning before I put on my moisturizer and makeup. It’s super cold and really wakes me up. This is really great to use throughout the day as well! I never used it throughout the day because I always had makeup on but for girls and guys that don’t, this would be amazing. I love this product. I feel like women product line’s don’t have anything like it- super unique.
Cooling + Cleansing Wipes: $16
This is perfect for anybody that works out, sweats a ton, or could use a little moisturizer through out the day. I actually used these for my under arms on my second week detox! One side was Wipe the Arctic Blue Ice Crystal side across skin to exfoliate and remove dirt and sweat. The other side to get a cooling caffeine boost. Amazing. I loved these.
Peppermint Charcoal Soap: $14
This soap was one of my favorites. It helped to brighten darker spots and I felt so rejuvenated and refeshed after using it. It also has activated charcoal and spirulina to buff away all the dead skin cells- amazing. The smell is of course peppermint with the shea butter.
